I want them to just lock me in The Strand some night with a bottle of red wine, dark chocolate, and a bag of sandwiches. Please! I do get the sniffles from the dust, occasionally.
My dream house has an attic converted into a library of floor-to-ceiling books, Persian rugs, big leather chairs, mission/craftsman era lamps, a big oak table, real Franklin stove, and ventilation to smoke my pipe without scaring off friends.
I have stopped getting rid of books in preparation for that place.

Your dream house sounds a lot like my dream house. I fantasize about building an extension on my house, and my concept for it would look a lot like McNair's Lair.
Even though I'm using the Kindle more often to read current books (and to carry a complete Shakespeare around with me without breaking my neck), I still prefer the real thing.
